U.S.C.O. honors Jonathan Irvin

Congratulations Jonathan!

Jonathan accepting the award for the caber championship.

The tall trophy is for the caber competition on Saturday,

       The bowl is for the caber championship of N. America.

                  The plaques are for Jonathan to keep when he has to take the trophies back next year.

U.S.C.O. members and friends, express our deepest appreciation to the "Church of the Savior" for allowing us to use their facilities for our monthly Clan Gatherings.  Our prayer, is that God richly bless and keep this "Church", and that "His" face shine upon it, and continue to grow in membership and in prosperity throughout the coming year. 

U.S.C.O. General Information

The following, provides general information about, United Scottish Clans of Oklahoma, (U.S.C.O.) - with Scheduled Dates, Times, & Locations or our Clan Gatherings, Meetings, Festivals, or Events.  

Unless otherwise specified: 

U.S.C.O. Clan Gatherings are held every 2nd Saturday of each month, at 6:00 pm, at the “Church of the Savior”, 5600 N.W. 63rd St, OKC.  Clan Gatherings consist of Pot Luck Dinner, Silent Auction, Entertainment, & Education.  Scottish Attire welcomed, but not required.

Genealogy research assistance is made available for one hour, preceding the Clan Gathering, each month, between 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

  U.S.C.O. Monthly Board Meeting

April 2010 Board Meeting will be CANCELLED.

 

May 13, 2010 is our next scheduled Monthly Board Meeting,

 held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7 pm.      

 Crown Heights United Methodist Church, 1021 NW 37TH ST,

OKLAHOMA CITY OK, 73118

Monthly board meetings are required for all officers and board members.  

All members of  U.S.C.O. are encouraged and welcomed to attend and offer their suggestions.

Ancestral Research: Please let us know if we can be of assistance in learning about Scottish History, Heritage, and Culture, in Oklahoma.  Also, contact us if you need help in either beginning your own Scottish Genealogical research or just additional general Scottish research.  

If you are not a member of  (U.S.C.O.), but your interested in finding out about your possible Scottish or Celtic heritage, we look forward to having you visit us at any of our Clan Gatherings (dinners or events).

IN MEMORY

Patrick (Pat) Eikner Kelley:  Our C.E.O. of U.S.C.O., our Friend and Leader, may be gone, but will never be forgotten:  Our prayers or love and sympathy goes to his family, Carmen, Ike and Elizabeth.   We will always miss him.  Pat passed away on December 28, 2007.   __________________________________________________ 

Jerrel Murray  My Friend, may be Gone, but Not Forgotten:   Members of U.S.C.O. and the Scottish and Celtic Community, extends our deepest sympathy to the family of Jerrel Murray.  Jerrel passed away Feb. 14th, 2006.  He was considered to be the "Father of U.S.C.O."  He will surely be missed.  

Jerrel was the designer of the "Oklahoma Tartan".  He organized the current U.S.C.O. organization and had held many offices within the organization, as well as being the Editor of the Quarterly Newsletter, the "Highland Herald".             You may click of any of these photos, for a larger viewing.
