U.S.C.O. is a (501c3) non-profit organization dedicated to promotion and preservation of the Scottish and Celtic heritage in Oklahoma, through Education, Genealogical and Ancestral Research, Festivals, Events, and Clan Gatherings.
The following provides general information about United Scottish Clans of Oklahoma, (U.S.C.O.) with Scheduled Dates, Times and Locations or our Clan Gatherings, Meetings, Festivals and other Events.
It is the goal of USCO to promote and encourage Scottish and Celtic heritage in Oklahoma. We have individuals available to help you with your ancestral research as needed. If you need assistance with your research, arrangements can be made.
USCO is a family organization and encourages all family members to attend the scheduled events throughout the year. We also do not care if you are Scottish, Irish, s Welsh or have any Celtic origin, you and your family are always welcome to attend the meetings of USCO.
The following is a brief description of the scheduled events and/or activities held throughout the year by USCO. We encourage you and your family to attend as many of these events as possible and join with USCO in promoting Scottish and Celtic heritage in Oklahoma.

CLAN GATHERINGS - This is USCO’s monthly Get-Together with our membership and guests. Normally Scheduled for the Second Saturday of each month and held at the “Church of the Savior”, 5600 NW 63rd St., OKC, OK, at 6:00 pm. We look forward to seeing everyone on December 14 at 6 pm.
HOGMANAY - This event is the Celebration of the Scottish New year. USCO normally schedules this event the last part of December.
BURNS NIGHT CELEBRATION - January 25, 2014 - This event is USCO’s primary source of fundraising leading into our annual Iron Thistle Scottish Heritage Festival & Highland Games. Burns Night is a celebration to the life of the Scottish Poet Robert Burns. Celebrated throughout the US, Europe and several other areas of the world where Scottish groups are gathered. This is the time when most Scots dress up in their finest attire. USCO and the Original Bricktown Brewery will again bring to OKC one of the best Burns Night celebrations to be held in Oklahoma.
ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE - An historic event which has been held each year in March through the streets of Bricktown, OKC. USCO and the Scottish groups has received numerous awards throughout the years for their extended entries, to include; the USCO Float, combined Pipe Bands, Westie Rescue Dogs and the Scottish Athletic Games.
IRON THISTLE SCOTTISH HERITAGE & HIGHLAND GAMES - April 26 & 27, 2014 Held at the Kirkpatrick Family Farm grounds in Yukon, OK. USCO, along with the Kirkpatrick Family Fund and the City of Yukon will once again be bringing an exciting festival to the Yukon, OK area. Look forward to lots of booths, tents, dancers, bands, pipers and the exciting athletics games.
GLOBAL OKLAHOMA —– September 2014 A Cultural Event held each year on the campus of Rose State College in Midwest City, OK. The next Global Oklahoma will be held Saturday - 10 am – 4 pm. South Korea will be this years featured country. Visit the Global Oklahoma webpage for more information. USCO has been a key participant in this event for many years. We will once again have tents setup with staff available to help festival attendees research the ancestry for possible Celtic roots. Some of our USCO Athletic Games members will be on hand to demonstrate some of the techniques used during the Scottish Games. Plan now to come out and support USCO and visit all of the booths and exhibits and enjoy the many varied cultural entertainments.
