U.S.C.O.
is a (501c3) non-profit organization dedicated to promotion and
preservation of the Scottish and Celtic heritage
in Oklahoma, through
Education, Genealogical and Ancestral Research, Festivals, Events, and
Clan Gatherings.
The following provides
general information about United Scottish Clans of Oklahoma, (U.S.C.O.)
with Scheduled Dates, Times and Locations or our Clan Gatherings,
Meetings, Festivals and other Events.

Thank you for a marvelous Iron
Thistle Scottish Festival and Highland Games.
The Iron Thistle Scottish Festival was a great success. We want
to thank everyone who helped by volunteering their time. After a
short breather, we plan to start thinking about and planning on the 2013
Iron Thistle Festival. We want to thank all of our vendors, clans,
entertainers and the workshop presenters for continuing to support
USCO and the Iron Thistle Scottish Festival. We want to
congratulate all of the athletes for demonstrating the Highland Games
and their own personal skills. Everyone working together is what
brings a little bit of Scotland and Celtic Heritage to Oklahoma.
And a most special thank you to our co-sponsors, the Kirkpatrick Family
Fund and the City of Yukon, for without them we would never be able to
bring the Iron Thistle Festival and Highland Games to Central Oklahoma.

Our
next Clan Gathering will be:
May 12TH, 2012 Saturday
Mothers Day Clan Gathering
At this Clan Gathering,
Ms. Laura Brueggen, USCO Membership chairman & Highland Herald publisher
with give a genealogy presentation focusing on how to search for your
female relatives. During the presentation, we will have a
chance to tell about our mothers and how much they mean to us, since
Mother's Day is on Sunday.
You're welcome to bring a
photo of your mother and/or share a special story or give honor in
remembrance.
Our
Clan Gathering is a Pot-Luck Dinner event.
Please
bring your favorite dish and/or dessert and bring along your family and
friends.
We always welcome your entire family to our monthly gatherings.
Remember,
you don’t have to be Scottish, Irish, Welsh or have any Celtic heritage
to come out and enjoy our Clan Gatherings.
Celtic
attire is optional, however feel free to wear your Clan Tartan Colors if
you have any.
If
you’ve never attended our Clan Gatherings, we welcome you and your
family to have an enjoyable evening with your Celtic friends and
family.
Our goal
is to help all members and non-members in their Celtic heritage quest
and ancestral research
and to
promote our Celtic Culture in Oklahoma. If you need help researching
your genealogy,
bring
your questions to the meeting and let us help you with your research.
Come out and enjoy warm friendship, good fellowship and
great food.
We look forward to seeing everyone,
Saturday May 12th at
6:00 pm at the Church of the Savior.
